HOLLAND COMMUNITY OPERA FELLOWSHIP
Opera Omaha is currently accepting applications for our next round of Holland Community Opera Fellows.
The Holland Community Opera Fellowship brings community-minded, entrepreneurial artists to live and work in Omaha, to serve as an ambassador of the company by developing relationships with community leaders, and to design and implement unique projects combining artistry and musicianship, leadership, advocacy, and citizenship.
The Community Artist Fellows will:
ENGAGE in meaningful dialogue with the community on issues and ideas of social relevance
FULFILL unmet needs in the community for arts experiences, education, and appreciation
EMPOWER communities through music and culture
CREATE reciprocal relationships between Opera Omaha and different sectors and neighborhoods benefiting residents and communities
EXPAND Opera Omaha’s civic impact and relevancy to the community
DIVERSIFY and grow Opera Omaha’s impact through performance and social interactions
The Holland Community Opera Fellowship will consist of four national artists who will be in residence in Omaha to perform, teach, and create and sustain social value through community-based programming and service opportunities. As a two-year commitment with a staggered start, each year there will be two new artists and two in their second year. These artists will perform in some events, and be asked to serve a community organization outside of their commitment.
Opera Omaha will hire two fellows to start their two year term in 2018. This position is Seasonal (40 weeks) Full time, Exempt
