I hope most of you are familiar with TakeLessons. I was just having an interesting conversation with Natalie over there after seeing this recent infographic they put out regarding fitness for musicians. We were chatting about how infographics can be really helpful in the studio as well as online. This can be a fantastic way to share information with your students as well as your studio families. In fact, I use an infographic as a “freebie” as part of my prospective student funnel. How do you use infographics in your singing and/or teaching? Drop me a line below in the comments. I’d love to know.
Here’s what Natalie had to say,
“Musicians create sound to be heard. Just as important as auditory art though, is visual. If you’re a graduate level or professional musician, one way to give visual representation to the topics you’re explaining/teaching is through an infographic. An infographic is an image or chart used to represent data or information. Infographics have proven very effective because our brains process visual information faster than what we read or hear. Most people are much more attracted to a picture than text, and have an easier time remembering it as well.
Whether you’re discussing breathing exercises or how to choose an aria, an infographic is a great option to get your point across. Check out the example from TakeLessons below!”
